Oracle CRM On Demand can now be hosted Locally in the EU

Oracle Offers Greater Information Compliance to European Companies with option to Host Critical Customer Data Locally

Reading, UK – January 31st, 2011: Oracle today announced that European enterprise customers now have the option to have the company’s leading SaaS application, Oracle CRM On Demand, securely hosted locally from Europe. Oracle CRM On Demand is an application, provided as a service over the Internet, that helps improve the productivity and efficiency of sales, service and marketing staff across public and private sector organisations.

Customers choosing Oracle CRM On Demand can opt to store their customer data, hosted by Oracle, inside the European Union; this is in contrast to most other SaaS CRM providers who either host applications outside the EU or depend upon third party companies to host their customers’ data.

The move by Oracle will provide many more European organisations, especially those in the Public and Financial Sectors, with a new way to benefit from SaaS-based CRM and at the same time help these organisations take steps to meet their own information assurance and regulatory goals with respect to the management of their European data.

Oracle already has many established customers (from 20 to over 10,000 users) using Oracle CRM On Demand to boost their business performance using the very latest, easy-to-use web technology. One simple monthly subscription fee (“per user”) includes everything an organisation needs – sales, service and marketing modules with built-in analytical and graphical reporting, customer support as well as automatic upgrades.

“Oracle CRM On Demand is our fastest-growing application and hosting the application locally, represents a significant step forward for SaaS adoption by European enterprises as information assurity around sensitive customer data is becoming an ever-increasing concern of major European businesses and regulators.” said Steve Fearon, Vice President, CRM On Demand EMEA, Oracle.

Fearon continues “We see many large and medium enterprises wanting to benefit from the SaaS delivery and economic model and by now hosting customer data within the EU, Oracle is opening up this opportunity to those organizations that want SaaS CRM and want this option for hosting their European data.”
